Dilli Haat (Bazaar)
Situated in the heart of Delhi- the traditional village architectural style 06 acre area paved with stone and brickwork skilfully interspersed with grass, flowering shrubs and towering eucalyptus trees, plus a play corner for children produce the perfect ambience of a weekly Haat (Bazzar) of the village The Haat offers a delightful amalgam of craft, food and cultural activities altogether a kaleidoscopic view of the richness and diversity of Indian handicrafts and artifacts. The different food stalls offer a wide choice of ethnic food from the various regions of India which is clean, hygienically prepared and reasonably priced.
The Garden of Five Senses
It is developed by Delhi Tourism Transportation Development Corporation to the needs of leisure space for local residents as well as tourist. The twenty-acre site, located at Said-Ul-Azaib village is designed according to five senses of a human body ie.sight, sound, touch , smell and taste. It attracts both residents and visitors with numerous changing activities such as the annual Garden tourism festival, yoga camps, food festivals, sherbat melas, the longest Dandiya Masti Festival in Delhi and other regional dances and shows. The heady Trail of Fragrance leads away to a rocky ridge to the north, where elevated amongst the rocks, a sculpture in stainless-steel, inspired by a pin-wheel, dances in joyous abandon. Neel Bagh, a pool of water-lilies encircled by pergols covered with climbing plants of different colours and textures. Colour Gardens - beautiful compositions of flowering shrub.
The
Courts of Specimen Plants display not so frequently seen species - of bamboo,
for instance, or cactii, or herbs. amphitheatre with blocks of sandstone to
serve as seating Solar Energy Park: of the garden is the Solar Energy Park set
up with the assistance of the Ministry of Non-conventional Renewable Energy
Sources. The aim is to promote awareness of renewable sources of energy. A 20
KW solar power plant is installed to meet the requirements of the park. The exhibits include :

Azad Hind Tourist Complex
Azad Hind Gram Tourist Complex at Tikri Kalan is a project developed by Delhi Tourism to honour Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and to create quality leisure space and wayside amenities for the citizens.Located within two kilometers of the Delhi Haryana border on NH-10, the architecture of the project is inspired by the language of North Indian achitecture and the traditions of Indian craftsmanship. The elaborate mosaic domes surrounding the museum and the memorial are the focus of the complex which offers the facilities of extensive plazas, an amphitheatre, tourist information centre, souvenir and garden shop, food kiosks, a restaurant, public toilets, drinking water, public telephone and convention facilities.
Lodhi
Garden 01 Km. South of Old Fort is Lodhi Garden laid out around the simple tombs of the Lodhi and Sayyid Sultans who ruled north India in the 15th & 16th century. The most important of all is the tomb of Muhammad Shah who ruled Delhi from 1434 to 1444. In the midst of the garden Bara Gumbad built by Sikander Shah Lodhi in 1498 A.D. and 15th centurys Sheesh Gumbad, the glass dome has artistic floral motifs and inscriptions from the Koran engraved in it. Sikander Shah Lodhis tomb an early rudimentary garden tomb is an octagonal structure amidst a square garden within high walls. The garden in the northeast side also in houses a 16th century bridge of eight piers, Athpula. It is one of the bridges built during Mughal sovereign. Garden is open from sunrise to sunset. Joggers, amorous young couples and picnickers frequent the garden.
